Poetry is something to love
or rather, someone
Poetry must be a someone
because someones love us back
And even when we have no one to love
Poetry is the someone
Who sneaks out of our heads
Who turns on the light
That piece of ourselves,
mischievous like a bright sprite
Who steals a little piece of our hearts
And leaves it on a shelf.
Poetry is a someone to love
because a heart-piece left in dust
can hardly claim humanity
until another scoops it up.

Paulie: Are you f***ing kidding me? You think I'm a lesbian?
Mary: You're a girl in love with a girl, aren't you?
Paulie: No! I'm Paulie in love with Tory, remember?
